Dr Michael Gordon is a sessional Consultant Psychiatrist, specialising in adolescent psychiatry with over 25 years psychiatric experience. He is currently involved in both outpatient and inpatient consultations at Delmont Private Hospital.

Michael takes a sensitive approach to patient care with a focus on practical treatment through comprehensive, individualised consultations. He is committed to providing excellence and attentiveness in all patient care he provides.

Dr Gordon is locally trained, attaining his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery qualifications from the University of Melbourne. Michael has a special interest in adolescent depression on which he has written several papers and book chapters, conducted clinical research and also received his clinical doctorate in the area. Currently, he is involved in research into school refusal and adolescent borderline personality disorders and is the Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at Monash University.
