Dr George Antony is a sessional Consultant Psychiatrist with over 10 years psychiatric experience. His areas of special interest include depression, anxiety disorders and OCD.

Dr Antony works collaboratively with General Practitioners to provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments for both Item 291 as well as long term follow-up care. His individualised approach utilises a biopsychosocial, recovery-oriented model of patient care that promotes choice. George is committed to providing excellence and attentiveness in patient care, seeing individuals with a wide variety of conditions.

Dr Antony has trained both locally and abroad, completing Medical College in India before attaining qualifications from Monash University and Swinburne University. Today, he formally teaches and supervises Hospital Medical Officers at Box Hill Hospital. George has also published research articles in international peer reviewed journals.
