Associate Professor Saji Damodaran is an experienced full-time Consultant Psychiatrist, specialising in anxiety, mood disorders and treatment resistant depression in adults. Saji manages patients through Delmont Day Programs, community outreach programs and is also involved in inpatient admissions.

Associate Professor Damodaran takes a collaborative approach, working closely with patients, psychiatric peers, psychologists and GPs to deliver complex care management. He maintains a very high level of ethical standards by delivering empathetic treatment whilst keeping GPs informed about the progress of referred patients. Saji is committed to providing excellence and attentiveness in all patient care he provides.

Dr Damodaran attained his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Kerala in India, before obtaining his Masters Degree in Psychological Medicine from Ranchi University. Today, he is an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at Monash University, also leading clinical trial groups in Monash University’s psychiatry department and was the Medical Director for Mental Health Programs for many years. He is also very active with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.

Saji Damodaran is a dedicated medical professional with over 20 years psychiatric experience. Currently, Saji is the Director of the Board of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
